Well I don't want to become reliant on hellheart always being there, and the mournfangs becoming something I'm dependent on... and trying to look at different / underused models in my collection....
So now for something completely different!
Lord:
Skrag the slaughterer, lore of the great maw
Hero:
BSB with sword of striking, enchanted shield, ironcurse icon and giantbreaker big name
Butcher - level two, dispel scroll, lore of beasts
Core:
14 ironguts, bellower and standard bearer
Special:
3 yhetees 4 maneaters - scout, stubborn, bellower, heavy armor, 1 XHW, 2 Great weapons, 1 ogre pistol 2 gorgers (since skragg lets me have a unit of them up to 2 models!) 2 gorgers
Rare:
Thundertusk
2399 points
So basically skragg, the bsb and the butcher hang out in the horde of ironguts... the thundertusk hangs out with them, giving the nice ASF aura and the occasional ranged shots...
Flanks are covered by yhetees (stop laughing... i'm serious) and the unit of maneaters... yhetees survive simply by being the least important threat on the table!
The gorgers get ready for backfield shennanigans...
...you know... if everything goes to plan.... ;D

Definitely a lot friendlier than the ironblaster/hellheart list. About the only real limitation I see is not having a second hard hitting unit in the list. Granted the maneaters are stubborn and thundertusk can do some damage but I'm wondering if dropping 1-2 gorgers to beef up the yetis or field a unit of leadbelchers instead of yetis might provide a little more flexibility - at least you would have a shooting phase.

well looking to actually try yhetees, but only have access to three... need the gorgers due to skraggs rules (and there's no point taking skragg at all unless you have gorgers given he's really just an overpriced slaughtermaster that can't take any gear!)
i originally had two ironblasters instead of the thundertusk and one of the maneaters... but then I thought I might be still relying on my "standard" brings for the list so switched out... plus the aura is nice!
A stonehorn could also sub in for the thundertusk, just going with the frenzied crazy list (given skragg is going to be frenzying up my ironguts anyways!
however my tourney list is going to be my standard list I've settled on... seems to be what is most effective for me anyways...
