I think 'Ard Boyz was kinda fun if you took it for what it was and weren't a big jerk about it. It was nice to play big games with nasty lists. Only the focus on Kill-Point minimization was kinda annoying for me.
That said, I see this as a herald for 6th ed, and a possible shift away from the tournament style of 5th. With a switch to a new edition likely coming before 'Ard Boyz would be scheduled to go, they'll want to see it in action for a bit before planning out the new national tourney circut.

And there's nothing saying that we can't do a localized 'Ard Boyz style tournament, even call up the Trenton guys and even Belleville/Picton, get Shaner and the rest of the old Grey Knights on the horn and see where we can go with it.

yeah we can always run a local cheese fest...
...just miss out on the big army prize, which really no one local has won anyways...(although Tom got sooooo close!)

Well, that really depends on how many clubs are interested, and we can wrangle, now doesn't it?

I wish there would be one more so that I could get the "'Ard boys experience" probably wouldn't win though because I would be using chaos.

it was a huge 40k tourney every year. People play in different communities and face off later somewhere else. Tom almost won last year.

It was designed to be completely cheesy though. You were supposed to build the meanest list you could at 2500 points and ONLY generalship scores counted, no soft scores.
