so I was wondering if anyone minds if someone uses a forge world list. for example the cosair lit from the doom of mymeara book. If its cool, then can these lists be used at tourneys?
I for one don't have a list like this but I would allow it for variety, and lord knows variety is the spice of life.

i wouldn't have an issue if it was one of the ones stamped for official play and the person owned the rulebook and brought it with them to show me if I had questions....
just taking a list off armybuilder though? not so much....

I'm with Shannon, if said person had the army book and any possible erratas that may be involved while at a tourney for said army I would be more then happy to play against it. Seeing how the FW stuff doesn't really get errata'd it'd just be the army book

I'm somewhat in agreement as well. If they have the books and all the print outs or rules so I can read them before the game starts, sure, no problem. However, as fun as some of the forgeworld stuff is, I've always found they have a tenancy to be really overpowered, but either reasonably costed or undercosted. FW also tends to put a lot of special abilities on their stuff, which can make it that much harder to deal with.
Overall, I'd be fine with people including some cool FW stuff in lists, but I also feel it could be a pandora's box.

well, if people allowed them in tournies I would have no problem buying the book(s) for myself but what about people sharing books? because for special units, it kinda sucks spending $40-60 on a book you need for 1-2 units.....

i concur with the senus that if you have the books and they are stamped to play it should be ok.
about sharing books it would be ok but if someone doesnt show up and you end up not having the book are you going to want to bring two lists just in case that person with the book doesnt show up or is sick or something

well, what if the group (or make a mini tournament to raise money for it) pitches in money to have a store copy of a couple of the books?

The store isn't a library...
people should buy any book that they are fielding an army from, just like any codex, army book, etc. printed by GW...

Aren't all the imperial armour books stamped? no, only Imperial Armor Apocalypse Second Edition and any books that follow from there I believe... implying that all of the other stuff isn't stamped unless if shown again at a later time with a stamp.
