Only a couple days to go and I am madly painting more dryads and treekin along with movement trays. Biggest problem is waiting for layers of flock to dry before applying the next one. I am hoping to get a new wizard painted as well since I loathe the current one - perhaps that is why they always dimensionally cascade ;D

We're leaving late Thursday afternoon so we can be there for the doubles on Friday. That being the case, we won't be around for regular gaming on Thursday.

I could have lent you painted figs Frank. Yes, but that would violate the rules handed down by the warhammer dice gods: 1) Painted figures fight better than unpainted figures 2) Well painted figures fight better than poorly painted figs 3) Figures painted by their general fight best as those painted by others are mere mercenaries who are only in it for the money ;D

Just finished the models & movement trays for the tourney and put a coat of spray varnish on them. Then I made the mistake of bringing them in from the garage. Now I am high on the fumes and cat fur is stuck to some of them. Hmmm, maybe a match would be a good idea to remove the fur. Varnish and fire, what could possibly go wrong? ;D

just stick all the models to the cat... that way you can say it's a theme....

Yes, but as several people can attest, my cats do indeed get into the game when a battle is ongoing. As a matter of fact, we even have a name for my one cat, the terror-causing Samasaurus-Rex ;D!! He's also been known to bed down on dryads and snap multiple fragile bits!!

Congrats to Frank who placed second overall at the Da Boyz GT in Rochester this past weekend. In doubles play, our team Older Yet Wiser "OYW" finished fifth overall. We both had a lot of fun and played through some interesting and challenging scenarios in both the doubles and singles play. I for one learned a number of things over the three day tournament: - a bloodthirster with flesh to stone is even more insane than normal - a star dragon even without a rider is still hard to kill - 15 WHF/40K geeks in one elevator should be prohibited - Dinosaur BBQ grill in Rochester NY is awesome! - empire Demi- gryphs area fast and hard to kill - treeman ancients with flesh to stone and annoyance of nettling is TRUELY ANNOYING
