Well, one of the big tournaments that I have wanted to attend, Da Boyz GT, is running again in Rochester this year and I plan on making the trip down for the weekend in November. While I realize this is far into the future, I figured I would solicit interest early on so we can organize ourselves if a group heads down. Also, if history is any indication, there is generally a need to register early as the tourney fills up fairly quickly. I have heard nothing but fantastic feedback from anyone who has attended a Da Boyz GT and they generally have a lot of fun scenarios and composition limits that help eliminate some of the more annoying lists in both fantasy and 40K. The rules and details are at the following website: www.daboyzgt.com/Home.aspxIf anyone is interested, please post in here and we can get the dice rolling ;D

hmmm "counts as" is perfectly acceptable.... could this be the tourney where the smurfs are not boycotted? I may be interested just for that fact alone! (plus it seems a VERY reasonable entry fee) also gotta like 4 games Saturday and only 2 on Sunday... almost like they're making it reasonable for out of town attendees!

The tournament sounds pretty great. I've never been to a big tourney and it would be interesting to go to one and I've got a passport so it is something to seriously consider. I also like the cost and the idea of 4 games on Sat and 2 on Sunday so that travelers can get an early start home. Time to start learning 6th and get some games in with the tyranids(might motivate me to finish painting and basing the army).

Honestly? I will likely be very interested in going to this... I'll have to make sure there isn't anything conflicting with wife plans that month- but lemme see.

I believe you need a passport these days to cross into the states unless you have an enhanced driver's license...though I'm not entirely sure how one gets one of those.

I believe you need a passport these days to cross into the states unless you have an enhanced driver's license...though I'm not entirely sure how one gets one of those. Thankfully you have someone on this forum who is somewhat familiar with them You have to apply for the Enhanced Licence through ServiceOntario. Currently (to my knowledge) the only location in Kingston that is currently doing them is the one at 1201 Division St. It's located in the King's Lake Plaza right behind the McDonald's. Unfortunately, we were never given an specifics on the actual application process and what's involved, but they should have the info on www.serviceontario.ca
