If you can dodge traffic you can dodge a marauder!
I am pretty excited that the Kickstarter has reached $250,000 for the full teams.
Like you, Dominator, my pledge is going up and up to accommodate all the goodies I want.

Kickstarter update - 10 days to go, 1650+ backers, almost $345,000+ raised. Some of the new rewards unlocked: Z'zor MVP - 'Ludwig' Anne-Marie Helder - Female Corp MVP (Keeper) Nightshade - Asterian MVP Robot Season 2 team Robot MVP, 'Firewall' (Keeper) Next up, if $354,999 is raised ($1 more than Kings of War Kickstarter), Ronnie Renton modeled as a coach. then up to $400K, fill out Season 2 (more Keepers?, Coaches?, Cheerleaders?). Then possibly on to Season 3 stuff - Dreadball Ultimate - multi-hex models, 3d terrain (or was that Season 4?). Kicktraq has this pegged at finishing around $750k. It is in a very similar spot to where the Sedition Wars and Relic Knights Kickstarters were. both of those finished over $900k. Ronnie Renton as coach:

6 days left in the Dreadball Kickstarter. they are almost out of their 'Striker' deal, as they limited it to 1500 to ensure they could ship in December. Currently at almost 1900 backers and close to $410k. All of Season 1 and almost all of Season 2 is funded. Some new additions. - alternate sculpts to be done for Forge Fathers (6 total) - all kinds of enhanced board options including etched acrylic with customizable zone colours or etched MDF with upgradeable inserts. - sculpt of MVP number 88 is well on the way - talk of cheerleaders as part of Season 2, but no funding target set for them yet - Forge Father MVP is funded - Asterians (space Elves) and a new MVP are the next stretch goals

Given my current level of funding, I might have to skip out on the Mantic bag if the Asterians get funded. I was trying to keep my costs down but in the end I might even end up getting both.
I like the look of the Asterians and depending on their play style, they might become my team of choice.

I think I'll wait until Sunday to make a final call on what I'm going to get. Probably focus on completing Seasons 1 & 2, now that the Season 2 rulebook is on offer. I'll have to play through the different teams before settling on a favourite. The Forge Fathers look interesting to me, as does the Season 2 Z'zor and Robots.
Would be nice to get all of the extras - bag, pitches, etc. - but likely not in the budget.
-Asterian team funded -almost to the Asterian MVP -Cheerleaders are next at $460,000 -suggested that at $500,000, Dreadball Ultimate stretch goals may start
Cheerleaders have been playtested in this way - you place them on your scoring track. When your score reaches a Cheerleader, you get an extra Fan Check - game card effects and possibly extra coaching dice.
A few of the store bundles are starting to sell. Looks like some FLGS are starting to get on board.

Kickstarter ended yesterday with nearly $730,000 raised from over 2500 backers. They funded the base game (November 2012) and two expansions - Season 2 and Season 3 (Dreadball Ultimate) to be released Q2/Q3(Q4?) 2013. Twelve full teams, all with alternate sculpts for each of the three positions and prone markers, were funded, along with 20 MVPs and 4 multi-hex models, coaches, cheerleaders...
Not bad for a mostly sight unseen game, though there have been several game play videos put up. Mantic also hosted playtests and the response from those was positive - fast playing, solid game and definitely not Blood Bowl.
Two game board upgrades were produced - one MDF and one acrylic - each with customizable strike zones and benches, sin bins, etc. in different colours. Ultimate Dreadball will be able to use these boards with a connector to create a multiplayer field.
Lastly a teaser MVP for Season 4 - Dreadball Extreme was funded as the last stretch goal.
This is what the Striker ($150 pledge) ended up including:
Striker A copy of DreadBall (2 additional Orx and 2 additional humans added. I think I read somewhere between Kickstarter, Mantic's home page, and Mantic's Facebook page as I can't remember where that all off the packages to Canada should be out of their warehouse by the end of day yesterday. If that is true ten I assume we won't have much longer to wait. Hopefully they will still arrive before Christmas as originally intended.
