Rules Question - Standards in Peasant Unit

According to this pdf on page 1;

"Change the second sentence to “Unit standards in units with
the Peasant’s Duty do not confer any additional victory points.”

So does this mean, it would be advantageous for my archers to receive a banner? Reason i've been leaving it out, VP's as they die easy.

Peasant banners have never counted for extra VPs, the FAQ just reaffirms this. Peasants generally won't win combat so feel free to give them a standard if you have extra points but it is almost the same cost as 2 bowmen!! Mind you, a unit of 20 might benefit as it would have 3 ranks and the standard and thus might win against really crappy opponents over the front.
