I just bought a finecast hive guard, it is really hard to glue it onto the base since it dosen't have a slot like the hormagaunts, any ideas?

put glue on the bottom of his feet... he should be flat on it... if there is a post at the bottom of his foot you might have to trim that off...
plastic glue doesn't glue finecast models well, so ensure you're using super glue

I also had problems with even super glue getting Finecast to stick to anything.
You can use baking soda as a glue accelerant. Just put a little on the base where his feet will go, and then put glue on his feet. Press him down and the baking soda will soak up the glue, solidify, and have it stuck very very quickly.
