A mixed tournament with 40k doubles the first day and fantasy singles the 2nd day is running in Toronto on Nov 3rd & 4th. I've attached the draft ruleset but more information is available on their website at: conquesttoronto.com/index.php and they also have a Facebook page.

My thanks to Frank for posting this up, as a new member it seems I don't have the ability to create threads just yet.
It seems like Kingston has a pretty strong Warhammer scene and we think it'd be cool if you guys came down to represent. The Saturday is a 40k doubles similar in style to the Warmaster's Challenge (1000pts per player, share a Force Organization chart...etc) The second day is a Warhammer Fantasy singles event, 2200pts. 8th edition rules with 7th edition VP scoring.
We the organizers are big fans of Fantasy but we feel it's less popular than 40k. We want to run more Fantasy events (a whole Fantasy weekend, ideally) but we need to be convinced that there is a market for it. So please, if you love Fantasy, come on down Sunday November 4th and support this great game. Hope to see you all there!

liking how they're doing VP for fantasy... fleeing worth full VP at the end, 1/2 a unit still gives you half VP... (one guy left in a block of 40 guys should not mean you get no VP at all for nearly destroying the unit!)

Yes, I like the VP rules as well. Although I am already committed to Da Boyz I am still considering going to Conquest although it would likely only be for the fantasy part.

Hmm...I may suddenly have the ability to attend this. I just realized that my wife is going to a get together in Burlington that day, and I'll be alone in Toronto for the entire day of the 3rd.....I'll at the very least be stopping by to check it out and cheer on Tom and Shannon. Might see if my buddy from Guelph wants to play in it with me...we've both been out of 40k for long enough it will be hilarious to get stomped.

You should totally go Matt... it's four games of 40k and it's actually pretty cheap to sign up a team (goes up $10 after Saturday, but at worst that's $5 each)... I'm sure if you looked for a partner here someone would likely take you up on it (if your buddy from Guelph can't make it that is)
the only thing we need to figure out is if we're leaving Kingston at 5:30 AM or if we're just grabbing a hotel for the night before!!!!
The way that they're working the secondary objectives is actually very interesting... I'd recommend taking a look at their player pack just for that alone... (I may steal it myself if I end up running a doubles tourney in the future lol)

If it wasn't Ashley's Birthday that weekend I would have seen if I could have gone with you Matt if you needed a partner

In time honoured Toronto GT fashion we're giving away the Fantasy starter for the last place finishers
