does anyone know more than me on how feasible it would be to cast and make 20 chest plates. I want to start a crimson fist army and have all the sterngaurd in MkVIII armour, which is high collar errant armour.
the tac squad comes with one so could anyone let me know if they can turn one into 20 and how much it would cost so that would be awesome.

well if you wanna try something, try to get some instamold , should be around $15 and you use it with boiled water to soften it up, then fold around the peice, then cut around the peice after it cools down then throw greenstuff in there and wait till that hardens, pop it out and ta-da

If you go to Leading Edge, they have kits that allow you to make molds and cast even small detailed pieces, I would recommend going there and talking to someone. If you bring the piece you want to use as a master, they should be able to give you some solid advice.

I'm actually casting some spess mehrine stuff. The Mk8 chests are one of the items.
After I make the mold and initial casts I'll let you know how it goes.

oh, and it might be easier to cast the whole body, not just the front (dunno what you were thinking)

maybe but I'm not sure it would make a huge difference, I'll talk to leading edge and see on monday. Hizack if your spess merhine moulding goes well let me know and that would be good.

The casting stuff from them comes in big jars. 30 bucks for about 1.5 litres total of resin and same for the rubber mold. It comes in two jars that you have to mix together for both. About 750 ML per jar.

The Gallon kits are a better deal, you can special order them from Leading Edge, I recommend Rebound 25 only used as an encapsulation mold instead of a brush-on.

thanks, I already bought the stuff that the guy said would work, two bottles mixed together. It actually works decently and I have one squad already done.
