I have been thinking i might try a 9 Kroxigors rather then my cold one cav. More wounds and more attacks at str 6. always strike last but a int 2 my cav were anyway and they get a stomp.
whats everyone think or should i stick with the cav

I think the Krox are at least worth a try....monstrous infantry can be quite nasty in this edition. You are losing out on the Swiftstride from the Cav though, and the ability to stick your mounted Characters in with them. I think it might be worth trying out, but you need to look at the set up of the rest of your army and decide what fits best.

yeah that's what i was thinking. like they could do a lot of str 6 attacks and would have more wounds but would have a lot less armour save also, and i could just make a unit of heros and lords on food to go beside them with some saurus for "look our sir"'s

With lizzies, you are always striking last due to low Initiative. I would definitely lean toward Krox for a number of reasons. As already mentioned, they have more wounds and thus are more likely to be around to strike back - 2+ armour save is good but not really all that great. With 9 wounds, you can take up to 5 and still be getting 6 x S6 attacks + 2 x S4 stomps whereas the cav unit is wiped out. Krox can garrison a building and are water striders. Cav, on the other hand, can only assault a building (at which point they only have a 4+ save) and have to make a dangerous terrain check every time they charge, pursue, march or flee through anything that isn't open terrain. With a unit of 5-6, this means losing one every time this happens! In terms of offence, cav get more attacks but the max strength is S5. S6 makes a big difference when trying to wound tougher opponents and getting through high armour saves.
While the krox/skink units were mediocre in 7th ed, I believe they are a very good part of a lizzie army in 8th since they have excellent mobility, fantastic shooting, can have command (and the rapid reform of the musician is golden!!) and can negate enemy ranks while the saurus take on the foe over the front. For the price of 3 krox, you can have a cohort with full command and 3 ranks with the skinks getting a 6+ ward save in combat. For this reason, I think taking a mixed unit is better than a unit of krox only.
