Ok, so I'm thinking about changing my list up and adding in some allies to get some psychic defense and some more ultra fast scoring added in....basically as a replacement for the big bike command squad, because I just don't know if it will be functional for its points, and I still don't have the proper models to have it put together.
So, in the end it would look like this:
Primary Detachment: White Scars
Captain, THSS, Artifacer, Bike
Troops:
8 x Bikes, Lance Sarge, 2 x Plasma, Multi-Melta Attack Bike
8 x Bikes, Lance Sarge, 2 x Plasma, Multi-Melta Attack Bike
5 x Bikes, Combi-Melta, 2 x Melta, Multi-Melta Attack Bike
Fast:
StormTalon, Typhoon Launcher
2 x Landspeeder Typhoon
10 x Assault Marines, Axe And SS Sarge, Melta Bombs
Heavy:
Predator Destructor, Storm Bolter, HK missile
Allies, Codex Eldar
HQ:
Farseer, Doom, Runes of Warding, Singing Spear, Jetbike
Troops:
6 x Jetbikes, 2 x Shuriken Cannon
Heavy:
War Walker, 2 x Scatters
I could also consider dropping the War Walker for 5 Avengers to just go to ground on a home objective, given that I don't really have any "stay home" troops choices.
I'm kind of thinking that the big objective claiming jump from those Jetbikes could be nice, and Doom will certainly help given that most of my offense will be coming from massed bolters.
Any thoughts on what the loss of that bike command squad means?
(in case you missed the other thread it was set up like this:) Company Champ, 3xStorm Shield, 3xPower Lance 325
I could also consider making the command squad a gunboat with a bunch of plasma guns....

Well even if you bring some DA instead of war walkers you won't have any stay home troops as you're allies of convenience and they can never count as scoring or contest an objective.
I think without the command squad try and make your HQ a shooty one as you will have 0 cc to help him out. The assault squad will not be able to take on tougher threats that the command squad could have and he will just overkill anything otherwise with them.

Um. Allies of convience score. your thinking of distrustful.
The downside is, you get no benefit of the farseers psychic power either, as your not battle brothers.
Psychic defence, unlike what the internet would have you believe, is not required. I've been playing without it for sometime, and I notice it very little. Every unit having DTW is a part of this, as there's no guarantee a power will go off anymore.
You really do lack combat punch, but bikes are naturally pretty good in combat due to higher toughness. Danny has a power fist sarge and a biker captain and they do very well against anything that isn't a pure CC unit or an MC with more than Init 1.
It's really not a bad list, you just have to live with the fact that anything that ignores toughness, or is AP3 is going to basically kick your face in with little you can do about it.

They would get the benefit of Doom would they not, as it targets the enemy squads and not friendly models? I could also drop that Predator for more Eldar...another War Walker or the Avengers?
I'm content to try to run the other list if folks think it's a better idea.
I could also drop the Assault Marines and Predator instead for the Farseer and Jetbikes? I'm not terribly sure that those Assault Marines are even useful, but they're fluffy and I've converted up the models.....

There's 2 problems:
1) You aren't battle brothers, therefore psychic powers can't be cast upon each other.
2) The Eldar codex powers were FAQed to only work for other eldar models (not even dark eldar), this includes Doom. You must be an eldar model to get the re-roll.

Ahh, I never realized that doom only provides that re-roll for Eldar models....lets dump this idea then, why don't we.

The only thing I read about the Eldar Psychic powers was that Fortune & Guide don't count Dark Eldar as "Eldar" units.
There was nothing ever mentioned about Doom. I would think it would work since Doom targets an enemy unit, not a friendly unit.
