I see there is only ten spots listed. Does this mean there are only ten spots total or are you only listing this many spots to keep it simple for now?
Also, How many people are judging painting?

there is a minimum of thirty spots... so lots of room still... I'll be doing the painting judging... since I'm not competing I'm unbiased at least... and I always appreciate nice painting

Hi Shannon
In the painting score table of the player pack it says there is starting max of 12 points but prior to that the highest score is 6 points. Does this mean a person gets 6 or 12 points depending or is it between 6 and 12. So, if someone did very well but not amazing could they get 8 points. As 8 is more than the well done 6 points but not perfect for 12 points.
Also, are you counting extras outside of painting, like amtching dice for their army?

The 12 point in the initial box is the threshhold you have to meet (ie: get 12 there!) in order to score ANY further points in the sections "advanced skills" and "exceptional extras"..... however they can score in other sections... section one you get either 0, 6 or 12. So basic three colours only you get 6... if you went beyond that... even just by a couple extra colours, wash, etc.... basically you put forth effort (so in your example they did "very well but not amazing) you get 12 points.... Most people attending should get the 12 here, although there may be a couple 6's if someone just did basic three colours (which is fine of course, but it's your choice to do only this level for whatever reason) you can still play and compete with three colours and nothing else... you just get 12 points if you go beyond this... to get to "amazing" by your example, that's the top grades in the other catagories, and the last few points... which are going to be HARD to achieve... I'm not going to lie here... think James Craig / Scott level to get those last 10... I'm not able to get all those points myself... so I'm not saying that I'm the ultimate judge of painting or anything... but I can appreciate really nice work, and know what stuff to look for (ie: the stuff I can't do!)... if you get 3 points in each of those last two sections you have extremely nice work... (I consider the few really good models I've been able to achieve at around this level if I'm lucky) I don't want people to get bummed out by their paint scores, but I have to be fair and with those last few points of every category beyond the first, very critical, or the paint scores mean nothing.... plus I'm unbiased... well close enough for government work
