Ok, so this isn't something that I will do barring a sillyness game, but I just thought of it and it made me chuckle, so I thought I'd share. I bring you: Techmarines of Doom This is working off of the standard Scars list I have, but basically turning the command squad up to 11. HQ: Captain on Bike, Artifacer, TH/SS Command Squad Company Champ w/ Lance, 3xStorm Shield, 3xLance Master of the Forge Bike, Power Axe Elites 3xTechmarine, Bike, Power Axe, Harness Troops: 2 x 8 Man bike squads, Both with MM AB, 2x Plasma, Axe and Bombs 4xBikes, 2x Melta, Combi-Melta Fast 2x Typhoons So ALL the techmarines go in that command squad, which adds in 8power fist attacks and 13 power axe attacks, 4 more T5 2+ save bodies, 4 flamers and 4 plasma pistols....This is absurd overkill, but might be amusing to do at least once. Oh, and they'd all have FNP because of the Apothecary.

Oh, and over my regular list I'm giving up a unit of assault marines, a Stormtalon, a semi-useless predator, an attack bike and a power fist I no longer need.

I like it.
I had a hard enough time dealing with your regular Command Squad in our game, those extra bodies & firepower would have probably made more of an impact in our game than what you are giving up. Plus you can increase the cover on your side of the board to add to your survivability if you don't get first turn

The 4 Stormshields should help with that. Plus, if they do get to move first they'll get their Jink save for the ones without the shields.

how about 6 flamers evaporating your unit in one turn for 138 pts haha... but it can be funny to see some army will be surprised for sure...

I think you would find it will likely rip most armies a new one based on speed and hitting power (that sure as hell isn't a glass cannon) but like any extreme list there will be some hard counters (pie plate gun lines, massive hordes could grind and shoot it down)

Yeah, flamers are pretty insane at the moment. Can you Look Out Sir templates? Otherwise a Vindi is obviously a problem, but with 24" range I *SHOULD* be able to stay away from it until I can alpha strike it with something else. It will at least not be shooting them on Turn 1.
Anyway, like I said, it's just a silly idea I came up with while painting, as one of my sergeants is using an old Techmarine model converted around.
Also, I still haven't come across KP's really mattering in this edition....are they still as prevalent as they were in 5th?

KP still exists as one of the missions in 6th....
but yeah, 5 out of 6 it won't matter...

I'm kinda just ignoring them then....if I get shafted on it, I get shafted. And the rest of the army will have few enough. Not that I'd play this in any serious place.
I'd also probably be better off taking a Chappy instead of MotF. And a blob of guard, given that I'll have 4 Bolster Defenses.

Flamers aren't the norm all things' survivability should be judged by as they are probably one of the more OP choices available in the game right now. (think Purifiers in 6th edition, essentially)
It looks nice though I think 6th edition is lest about hero hammer and more about cohesive lists. Yes, 2 HQ choices is common, but spending that many points on 1 wounds characters with no invul is just asking for it.

I think it will do really well once it gets stuck in... probably a good bet though (like any deathstar) once your opponent realizes what it does (or worse, knows off the bat) the unit will attract a hell of a lot of fire... now that isn't necessarily a bad thing as it does seem pretty survivable other than to low AP high strength templates, but not everyone has those... given the speed of the unit if you're really aggressive with it (why wouldn't you be?) your opponent has pretty much one turn to deal with it... then it's going to rip a unit to shreds... if you choose something with a lot of bodies or fearless you should be able to stay stuck in for your opponent's turn... rinse and repeat.... it looks like a pretty brutal combo if it works.... but you are giving up four targets to increase the threat range of one target... so it does limit your board presence a bit and make target priority a little easier for your opponent... and you are giving up your flier defense to do it too... which means chaos (because ALL chaos lists have a helldrake you know will be a challenge... not because of what they'll do to that squad, but what they'll do to the rest of your army while you're powerless to stop it.... unless typhoons have skyfire, in which case scratch that last part

Again, I stress that this list is basically a joke that I came up with because it seemed silly. I am more than aware of the limitations of it and certainly don't think it is a "strong" build, though I agree that it would be situationally devastating. 125 point single wound guys is pretty absurd. Also, I will ask again, can you "look out sir" a blast template or do they snipe again like in 3rd? When I built it the thought was that I could push those wounds over onto the Storm Shields, but I still don't have the book with me all the time, so I'm not sure how that would work.
That said, if anyone wants to play against it at some point I'd be willing to proxyhammer it up.
Also, it annoys me that I pay 10 points over a marine biker simply for the mount on the Techmarine...

You can LoS! any wound, it's just for every single wound in the pool, you'd have to LoS! it. It also only transfers to the nearest model, so you end up lopping the wounds onto the storm shield guys until they die, and then your characters just start eating wounds from low AP.
