For the Feb tourney my ork army is already painted from last year save the wagons and some characters, so I wanted to get them a better look for this year. Right now my orks are really bright green, and somebody said that a brown wash would help with that.
What I want to know is if doing a wash will make it look like they have mud on them? would I be better off doing a dark green glaze, or wash? or should I just repaint them?

brown wash... that's how I did my orks and it takes the overall tone down of the model... takes seconds per model so it's fast, and gives a contrast to the skin tone in the recesses... plus if you need a darker tone it's easily achieved with a little heavier wash... plus it works for the whole skin tone and all the equipment...

Brown wash is very easy to apply, and can go on any model and make it look good.
If you really wanted to go over the top, you could green wash just the skin sections of the model, and then brown wash the entire model to really make them pop. (But let the green wash dry completely (1-2 days) before going over again!)

My orks I do a dark green wash followed by a black wash because I personally like really dark orks.
