just because the warpstorm table is so much fun.. ...actually because I already own most of this.... as in could play it tomorrow with 10 proxied plaguebearers if I assemble my skarbrand model and those screamers I have laying around HQ: Skarbrand Keeper of secrets with exalted reward and greater reward, psyker level 1 Troops 10 plaguebearers 10 plaguebearers 10 plaguebearers Elite; 6 bloodcrushers with champ (had 5 points left over lol) 5 fiends 5 fiends Fast: 6 screamers Heavy: Soulgrinder - nurgle and phlegm Soulgrinder - khorne and phlegm Soulgrinder - tzeentch and phlegm 2,000 points basically it's my old 1850 list adding - marks on the grinders (because I have no choice now!), skarbrand (because I have a model for him), 10 plaguebearers and 6 screamers

actually going to switch the list around a little bit after more reading (and some sleep lol)
two greater rewards for the keeper seems better (less chance to get the one big thing, but more chance to get something to be more survivable!)
which frees up ten points to get a lesser reward for the bolter bait... I mean bloodcrusher squad...

The one thing i might do for a mixed gods list is have at least one unit of each troop with a ln instrument so u can re roll that 6 if it comes up. But then again u would have to get rid of plague bearers

you only reroll the 6 on the unit with the instrument... not all units of that god unfortunately... so adding some min-sized units of something else is probably not going to work...
I may switch up a bit this week and try some bloodletters in there too... to see if they die as easily as I think they will!

yes you are correct... you get a single D6 roll for every unit of Khorne on the table with a musician on that result...making the table even more confusing.... lol....

modifications after playtesting...
HQ:
Skarbrand
Keeper of secrets with two greater rewards, psyker level 1
Troops

6 bloodcrushers with champ (still had 5 points left over ;D) 5 fiends 5 fiends
Fast:
10 flesh hounds
Heavy:
Soulgrinder - nurgle and phlegm
Soulgrinder - khorne and phlegm
Soulgrinder - tzeentch and phlegm
2,000 points
although I'm going to probably start deep striking skarbrand in, he's too slow to make it across the board and just eats high strength bullets til he dies halfway cross the table....
This incarnation worked alot better... I had tried a different modified version of this during my first game today... granted it was against Tom's venom heavy list so it's not like that was likely to end well anyways... lol... but I didn't much like how that one played out... too all over the place...
this version maxes out on the number of threats in your face for a turn two charge (hopefully backed up by skarbrand buffs )... If I can survive turn one intact, two units of fiends, crushers, keeper and hounds are all threatening a charge turn two, between scouting, beasts, cav and slaanesh super-fleet...

As testing continues, I'm slightly refining the list...
Skarbrand is going to stay with my mono-khorne list I think... he's cool and all but there's a combo I want to use (that I tried in my first game with limited success) which requires heralds... the keeper is superior to skarbrand in alot of ways, and one's gotta go...
so here's my current idea:
HQ:
Keeper of secrets - two greater rewards
Karanak (joins the bloodcrushers)
herald - exalted reward (grimoire of true names) juggernaut, loci of wrath (joins flesh hounds)
Troops:
10 plaguebearers 10 plaguebearers 10 plaguebearers
Elite:
5 bloodcrushers - banner and champ with lesser reward (AP2 blade) 5 fiends 5 fiends
Fast:
10 flesh hounds
Heavy:
Grinder - nurgle/phlegm Grinder - khorne/phlegm Grinder - Tzeentch/ phlegm
2000 points
Basically the herald and karanak lead the multi-wound khorne squads, giving missile protection.. the herald gives the crushers the grimoire roll, hoping to not screw them over (again)
plagues sit on objectives doing nothing, fiends blarg forward being awesome... depending on what gifts the keeper gets (ie: survivable vs. offensive) depends on whether or not it deep strikes in off the crushers' banner (d6 scatter is still pretty good)
spending the points for the champ to get some AP2 in the crushers makes them at least have a shot against tougher targets
So basically crushers, hounds, and both units of fiends should be in a position to charge turn two... with a little more protection...
I'm just tired of picking up a 300 point unit first turn of the game... and the unit is just too huge to deep strike in without a khorne banner to guide them in
