revisiting mono-nurgle... with inspiration from a doubles game I played with Kerry yesterday....
HQ:
Great Unclean one: 2 greater rewards, psyker level 3 - biomancy, warlord
Great Unclean one: 2 greater rewards, psyker level 2 - biomancy
Troops:
10 plaguebearers
10 plaguebearers
6 nurglings
Fast:
6 plague drones with banner
Heavy:
Nurgle soul grinder with phlegm
Nurgle soul grinder with phlegm
Allied csm battle brothers:
Chaos lord - mark of nurgle, bike, black mace,
4 chaos spawn of nurgle
3 nurgle obliterators
10 cultists with one autogun... because I had one point left over... lol...

So here's the theory:
I started with daemon princes marked nurgle then realized that great unclean ones were cheaper... they started out the same points for two greater rewards/nurgle mark/psyker level 2... however the GUO had two more toughness and two more wounds... ummm okay... and the princes just got far more expensive once you added wings and armor... and can be instagibbed with on S10 shot... so if tau and demolishers didn't exist this might be a good buy... but yeah...
So the two GUO's will deep strike in...along with the nurglings.... the plague drones have the banner to guide them in...
biomancy and T7 should keep them fairly safe.... the nurglings target backfield shooters to tarpit and giggle at them (because they can't really do much else... but hey the models look cool and it's a small investment to field them... you know unlike bloodcrushers... who I'm still very mad at)... The two T7 greater daemons with biomancy are there to pose a very immediate nasty threat which can't be ignored... this should keep my three scoring units (two with shrouding) fairly safe... and the spawnstar should be enough of a threat so that's causing some more target priority decisions... grinders and oblits are supplying the long range firepower to make me actually have something to do turn one...
so the opponent has to deal with two units in their face getting ready for a turn two charge... one unit is super killy and T6... one is T5 and tarpitty but carries an icon to guide in two greater daemons and another tarpit... choose wisely
thoughts? (other than stop spending money on this damn army already?)
