Was toying with the idea of doing a deathwing army and I decided I wanted a army that could be entirely reserved. This is what I came up with HQ Belial Librarian w/ lvl 2, terminator armour, force stave Troops 10 Deathwing Terminators w/ 2 TH/SS, 2 assault cannons, 2 chainfists 10 Deathwing Terminators w/ 2 TH/SS, 2 cyclone missile launchers Elittes 10 Deathwing Knights w/ relic of the unforgiven Dreadnought w/ assault cannon, heavy flamer, drop pod Total 2000 Belial will go with the squad that has the assault cannons and will deepstrike right in enemy lines and will try to kill a tank or two. The knights will deepstrike turn 2 and not scatter thanks to Belial and the last squad will have the librarian with divination to get re roll to hits as they walk the board. The dreadnought will deep strike as well and just be a pain in the ass. Also as I said above this entire army can be reserved and I can have most of it come in turn 1 except for the unit with the libby because he doesn't have death wing assault.

You can't full reserve that list... terminators don't have to reserve so only half can reserve

Put CMLs on TH SS so they have 2 effective phases. Split one 10 into 2 5s they walk on objerctive sit. DS Beliel, 10 man DWT n DWK

No reason to split a full 10 man unit into two for unit selection as they can combat squad.
Otherwise I don't think the Deathwing Knights are worth it for that amount of points when you can just take more regular deathwing who score and give something to the army other then a generally ap 4 close combat unit.
Also you would have to start 2-3 units on the board (as IC count last I checked towards DS allotment.) which is why drop pods are generally used with Deathwing so you can avoid the limiting factor for deep striking.

Splitting helps with getting you the bigger units to deep strike. Agree about the pods. DWK just don't make sense in my head but others swear by a unit. Anyone feel LR crusaders still viable?

Aside from the deathwing knights which I am not sure about either, I could put the dread with the drop pod in reserve, the unit with the two assault cannons with belial, and the knights or whatever I choose to swap them for and leave the unit with the two cyclones and the librarian on the table. That way I have put three, including belial but not the drop pod because it has to go in reserve, in reserve and two on the table including the librarian which is legal.
