Fateweaver + Screamers and Herald... And flying big things! One of the nastiest armies that you can build... not optimized at all (only one herald) but when you get the 4+ invul that is no problem! Weren't flamers, juggers, screamers and weaver supposed to have been nerfed? Never never underestimate the powe r of reroles and invul saves!

fateweaver is definitely not nerfed... screamers aren't fantastic on their own, but with a herald on a disc they can get prescience and a 4+ invulnerable save, plus a grimoire now improves it to 2++ (and if it fails fateweaver provides the reroll)... given the screamers reroll 1's on their invulnerable save, they now have a 2++ rerollable, with AP2 attacks and rerolls to hit.... not bad eh?

and if you have another herald in the unit things just get silly....

Fateweaver is really, really good! He no longer needs to be near the rest of the army, that re roll is really good, and control over the warpstorm is awesome!

As for the screamers... they are nasty, nasty.

yes, they can be nasty, unless you destroy them before they can do anything like you did lol

Yes, alpha striking them works well. but if you fail at doing the damage I feel that would be detrimental to give them 2nd turn as they will have the last say on objectives and what not.

once the screamer-star gets buffed up, it becomes pretty insanely tough... however if you go first (and can range them!) they're T4 dudes with a 5++ and vulnerable to instant death...

key to using this formation is to have them completely out of LOS first turn to avoid the alpha strike if possible... (of course there's situations where you just can't do that)

Just read a batrep of screamerstar vs seerer council star which used the dark eldar baron character. Seerer seems nastier but man that is an example of what can be wrong with allies!

Yes, the seer council with the baron is a great deathstar! Allies are so cool. They add so much dimension to the game.
