I have the book. Some decent options. Shooting and mobility are huge strengths. Magic has huge potential. Acorn of ages? Not sure they thought this one out very well!

...well they thought it out long enough to realize those citadel woods could sell a bit better if every wood elf player bought four (one for the free wood and the D3 for the acorn!)

The problem with the acorn is that there's no way one wood is worth 100 points. If you were guaranteed 3 then it could be really cool for buffing archers and mages, plus moonstone shenanigans. But at 100 points I might rather have a folding fortress than one single forest. Plus what's the best forest? poison? You can just give your guys poison arrows as opposed to gambling a naked lord character, and for way less points.
I like the sound of taking an acorn mage, plus another mage on death with the moonstone. Teleport and release the purple sun, get some dice back and be a happy camper. Problem is if you roll a 1 on your acorn the whole plan (which is like 600 points) could fall apart.

So this book is really cool. It's actually got a lot of things I always wanted, as I prefer elves to forest spirits in general. Those wild rider models are a dream. But geez, half my minis and all of my movement trays are now useless! (Maybe not useless, but less than ideal)
