not that I am buying hobbit stuff or anything, but I do look at the white dwarf daily and pretty much check out all the new sculpts even if I don't collect the army / system...
Well I noticed something on the new Thrain the broken model... then checked other listings for things like the barrell hobbits and palace guard...
these are all listed as RESIN kits... not finecast...
so is GW switching over to actual resin? or is this just a marketing switch due to the bad press finecast has?
thoughts?

Finecast is resin, just GW’s fancy word for it. It’s different than FW resin, but so is a black bear to a grizzly bear; at the end of the day they’re still bears.

yes, but Finecast is a resin blend (hence no washing needed) rather than pure resin and when they advertise Finecast kits, they use the term Finecast, not resin... I'm just noticing the title change on their releases... all the space marine characters from their latest release are all clearly labelled "Finecast" not resin....

Could be the first move in bringing FW on their site.
