I realized that for new people to the forum, they may not know much about our staff here, and who they go to with specific questions that may come up. So I figured I should do a brief intro to who our forum staff are:
The Global Moderators:
Thesanityassassin – Matt is a 40k player from way back - like way back when they used to have GW tourney support through the Grey Knight Program. Currently seen racing around the tables with white scars, Matt has a ton of experience running tournies and a wealth of information bouncing around in his brain about the game, where it’s been and where it’s going. He also has a fondness for Eldar, but we’re not holding it against him… much.
Calitom – Tom is one of our top local competitive players and you can often see him minding the store at Kingston Gaming Nexus as well. Tom is an avid competitive list builder and the guy you want to be asking tactical and list building advice from. If you want to make sure if your 40k list is tourney ready, play Tom! Rumour has it that he has a night lords army that is so scary and powerful that no one has ever seen it and lived. Tom's also the guy who can answer your MTG questions as well.
Stonecutter – Frank is our resident Warhammer Fantasy Guru and has more knowledge about this game in his head than anyone else I know. WHFB tactics is his forte, and he has a ton of experience stomping across high level tournaments internationally and I’ve seen a couple GT championship trophies in his painting room! If you have a question about WHFB, Frank is your man! Frank is also known for his unlimited patience at teaching the game, and he’s certainly the one you want to talk to if you’re new at WHFB.
Moderators:
Empirearmy – Mike is our moderator for the Warmachine / Hordes side of things around here. He’s got a real passion for the game and was responsible for our most recent reboot of the game locally, bringing it from the brink of local extinction, so he was a no-brainer choice to lead the warmahordes charge! He can also be found playing 40k from time to time at our local tournaments. He’s an amazing painter with lots of tricks up his sleeve that is more than happy to give out advice and help elevate your painting skills. He also initiated the “Mike’s Challenge” – paint 2,000 points of 40k for our club championship!
Magictripe – Jeffrey is our moderator for Infinity. He has put up some nice intro guides for anyone thinking about checking out this cool skirmish game and is always willing to help someone learn the system. He is also occasionally seen fielding way too many winterguard on a warmahordes table from time to time.
Administrators:
Tommy125347 – One of the founding members of the forum and my co-designer of the site, Tommy can be found with his traitor guard on our local 40k tables, charging valiantly into battle (apparently no one ever told him that guardsmen are not a close combat unit). Tommy often has new and original ways of looking at list design and although he doesn’t post often, he lurks around in the darkness, watching and waiting for his time to strike! (or something like that). Tommy keeps encouraging me to get back playing Malifaux, and he promises to help get more people addicted locally to this very cool game!
Jack Shrapnel – Well this is me… I basically moderate the site as a whole and try to keep things running smoothly. I primarily play 40k although I’m fairly active with WHFB as well, have an on again off again love affair with warmahordes (we’re currently seeing other people) and Malifaux (absence made the heart grow fonder again). I’m constantly fighting the battle against the grey tide of unpainted miniatures I own, and likely would gain some ground if I stopped buying the stuff. (I've admitted I have a problem which is apparently the first step). I am also responsible currently for running our local 40k tournies.
