How does the psychic backlash work? I'm just thinking about the 50 gaunts I slogged through killing when perhaps just shooting the tervigon hanging out behind them would have been the better choice.

Synaptic Backlash: If a Tervigon is slain, roll 3D6 before removing the model as a casualty. Each friendly unit of Termagants within 12" of the Tervigon immediately suffers a number of Strength 3 AP- hits equal to the result. Cover saves may not be taken against these hits and Wounds are allocated as per shooting, with the Tervigon as the firer. After all Termagant casualties have been resolved (if any), remove the Tervigon from play.

yep, weirdly enough the best thing you can do with termagants is to get them as far away from tervigons as possible... using other synapse to support them...
...if you care about the termagants that is...

I crunched some numbers. Maybe check them cause I've been known to not know what I'm doing. I tried to keep the point values consistant but Hormagants max out at 30 per unit. Attachment DeletedI gave the swarms Spinefists. (Crazy I know) And they actually come out ahead of Warriors for wounding marines. In melee they are close to Termagants so not great but not useless either. Hormagants really rip it up in melee but I've seen so many videos of then getting shredded as they run across the board. New plan. Go with MSU Warriors to hold objectives and search elites and heavy support for big guns.
