So just my yearly attempt to see if anyone plays or knows of anyone who plays.
If this is the case please point me in the right direction or let the person know I am looking to get some Napoleonic games in or if it is you simply contact me via the forums and we can set something up.
Just so its clear I am looking to play 28mm Napoleonic's using the Warlord games Black powder rules and using a Division or smaller for games.

Have you tried the guys in Trenton; I know they hve a variety of historicals on the go. Though mostly it is World War Two, one of them might play in other eras.

We use General de Brigade. I've played Black Powder a couple of times, but not Napoleonics - SYW and AWI. I think it had some good ideas, the thing I found to be a problem was the brigade and army morale. Once a brigade is down 1/3 (IIRC) of it's units are broken then it's morale is broken and once 1/3rd of the brigades have their morale broken then the army is broken. Not correct terminology but you will agree it works something like that - yes? The problem is that it seemed most of the time there just are not enough brigades on the table and so it is very hard to get "stuck in".
I'd be willing to try Black Powder again though...or Hail Caesar, if anyone is into Ancients.
Another system I like for Ancients is "Command & Colors" - yes, it's a boardgame but it plays well on the tabletop with proper miniatures. So does its fantasy version: "Battlelore".

Not a club as such, just a bunch of friends who meet at different peoples houses. I've been thinking of maybe trying to make it to one of the Friday evenings or doing something non-GW on Saturday. :-0 (Assuming that is allowed! ;-P )

DO any of you guys play 28mm scale Napoleonic's?
When I have played black powder in the past we have ignored the 1/3 rule for brigades. We then play very gentleman like and request surrenders from the other person once their whole army starts to take a thrashing. It worked well in the past. I have seen 3 brigades of about 3 to 4 units each.
Regardless I would be very interested to see what you guys play.
If you come down on a Friday I am usually their playing warmachine. I would like to meet you and discuss some gaming. I should be down this Friday if you can make it.

DO any of you guys play 28mm scale Napoleonic's? Yes...using General de Brigade rules. And also Carnage & Glory - the computer moderated rules. We ran a big Waterloo game at "Hot Lead" 2 years ago. I have nothing against Black Powder but I also like Age of Reason for SYW and General de Brigade works well for Napoleonics. What time are you there on Friday? Howard PS I also have a Warmachine army - Melnoth, IIRC - but have only actually tried the game once when it first came out.
