Yeah.. Pretty much what I expected...
I hope when the FAQ drops it does something to corral psychic dice, otherwise we're going to end up with some sort of comp-system to restrict mastery levels on lists... As daemons are able to generate WAYYYYYY more dice than anyone else by a HUGE margin.

Grey knights can also generate a pretty alarming amount of dice...
They needed a bit of a boost anyways in my opinion (never thought I'd say THAT ever)... so it remains to be seen how this will all shake out in the long run...
I think if someone WANTS to abuse the psychic phase they certainly can easily bring a list to do so.

Maybe I have a skewed view of what’s broken and what isn’t as the only games I play are the missions from the club championship; but as “broken” as Daemons appear to be right now, the main thing to remember is where you’ll have to play against them competitively. I’m sure if GW doesn’t have a fix or balance check for Malefic Daemononlogy; Shannon will step in and ask all of us what we’d like, eventually coming to an amicable solution for the club championship.
Someone running a Daemon summon abuse is going to be the new Baronstar; might win a bunch of games and might also have no one to play against very soon after said wins. I’m sure there will be an easy way to stop the summon spam; after all, look at how well Cron air did at the launch of 6th and look where it is now…

...I just don't see how it could even run in a tourney... the first turn of the daemon player took an hour in the frontline gaming example... how the hell could you even get close to finishing a game? daemons are only one side of the coin... invisible baronstars are the other... we'll figure out something, we always do... and we have 8 months of gaming to do it in before the club championship, so I'm not worried... as a tourney organizer I for one welcome this new ruleset, there is so much cleaned up it's great... wording is clear and legible and makes sense... alot of the abuses and loopholes of 6th got fixed... WAY more good than bad... and the bad is only highlighted in the extreme examples... well so far anyways
