With nice DE models soon to come out (and 2nd and 3rd wave models to be expected according to rumours), GW has demonstrated that it can produce and sell models as a model company should.
However, where are the nid 2nd and 3rd wave models? There are so many models/biomorphs that are missing and many are central: tervigon, T-fex, harpy, tyranid prime, wings for warriors and tyrant, doom, pod, boneswords for warriors and tyrant (for swarmlord), parasite, and ymgarl stealers. If GW produces less than desirable rules (sloppy/unclear/don't work) because their focus is models where are the nid ones? Only one nid HQ as a model and this is missing some key options (wings).
With such an overhaul of the dex how could they not see the need for such models? Is it incompetence or just plain not caring for nids anymore?

go here: www.paulsongames.comjust received my boneswords... they're quite nice it seems that the nids have been left by the wayside... several codex/army books have gone by and nothing further, so I'm not holding my breath... I'm just shopping elsewhere!

I like the lash whip, and the rail guns for tau broadsides.

I have seen this one mentioned recently on warseer or dakka, it is okay as a conversion but I'm not a big fan of it. On another point, I'm not a big fan of tervigons anyways for a few reasons.

.... I made mine out of Styrofoam and Milliput along with extra fex bits... cost $0... take that GW!
I quit using Tervigons myself actually... I think they work great in pairs, and with a "little guy swarm" list, but with the list I've been working on lately they just don't work out....
perhaps if you just want to deny a couple of objectives, they can make their own bubble wrap around them... ensuring you at least get to keep your home objectives....
