I though if I started a new post id probably get more attention SO!
Are there and DM's out there that would like to get a 4th'ed game down at the Nexus? If not! Then is there a DM out there with time on his hands that would like to teach me how to DM so I could start a game that way?

What aspect of running a game are you looking for help...
- Setting: development of your own or choice of an existing one? - Rules: mastering the existing rules or developing house rules? - Organization: how to plan campaigns or individual sessions? - Focus: are characters, plots, or the setting itself most important?
Also, have you been playing 4th Ed as a player already?
Anyway, in a nutshell, I think mastering the rules is fairly important as a GM because it makes adjudicating grey areas that much easier to appreciate and maintain consistency. Then, I think, one can decide what kind of game they want to run by deciding the focus of the campaign's playstyle (not the campaign itself, though). Then, I think organizing how you will go about doing so is the next step. Following that, decide on the setting. Finally, then it's down to developing the actual adventure or campaign, if that's how you've decided to run things.

This is from the Nexus website: Wednesdays 5:00 pm
Heroes needed! Are you game?
D&D Encounters is an exciting, weekly campaign that plays out one epic encounter at a time. As you defeat enemies, solve puzzles, finish quests, and perform heroic deeds, you’ll earn Renown Points that you can use to get exclusive rewards.
Each session only takes 1-2 hours to play, so it’s easy to fit your game in after school or work. And each week there’s a new and exciting challenge. Jump in anytime!
You can phone or email questions directly to Ali or Mike at nexus:
Phone: 613-546-2565 Email: kingstonnexus@gmail.com
I'm not sure if you bring characters or what level they would be, or if you play premades there... but I'm sure they'd be glad to have you come by!

Ok so I went down for Encounters and I must say for the short hour we played its was very good. 4e is a lot like 3.5e only with a few minor changes mainly the skills and the at will's, Encounters and daily skills but over GREAT fun : ). I'll def be going back till I get a firm grasp of the game mechanics but good thing is there not much different then 3.5e so that gives me a good head start on starting up my own 4e game
