just wondering why no clone wars in xwing. you would think since its big with the kids and some of use they would be all over it. and who wouldn't want a jedi star fighter or a large group of vulture droids

To be honest, not sure. Everything from card games, roleplaying, and miniatures that FFG has done is focused in the Rebellion Era only. There are recent rumours that their license also extends into the upcoming Episode VII as well, but I'm sure that will be revealed, if true, in the next few months. When's GenCon again? The Clone Wars era would have to be essentially a "separate game" as the factions don't line up to Rebels and Empire - there will always be Scum Sure such a game could exist with its own ships and factions using the same rules which could allow for crossover ability, but for some reason FFG seems to have no interest at all. Perhaps, like some of us diehards, they want to forget the prequels ever existed.

yes i don't care much for the prequel movies but the clone wars cartoons weren't bad at all. Also tonnes of fighters in the series.
But what ever still an awesome game, and yes can't wait for the scum, need that mangler cannon for my outrider

The reason they avoided the Clone wars or the Prequels was because it's not iconic. Sure it's still memorable but compared to the stuff from the original movies? Way more info and exposure from the original trilogy and doesn't carry the negative stigma attached to it that the prequels have.
Plus the prequels don't have any tie in content to the new movie from Disney like the original trilogy does, so it doesn't matter since FFG will be persuing licensing for the content from that now or as soon as they can.
No source on this, my own conclusions based on their answers given previously for other questions.
