from Faeit... colour me surprised... well red too I guess!
"Whoa, a new codex is coming this weekend, codex Khorne Daemonkin. I can already see that this might very well lead into the other chaos gods as well, which is something everyone has really been looking forward to for years. This is going to be rather exciting.
This is not really a rumor at this point, as I have many sources sending it to me.

Boo Khorne.
Better Chaos god next time please (Hint, that's all of the remaining gods IMO)
The sad part is I likely have all the parts needed to make this book work.

I have enough daemons to make this work, but would sadly be forced to by the CSM models... and everyone knows how much I hate getting more models I've heard rumours for some time now about plastic greater daemons and CSM supplements instead of a new codex... I am guessing that since we got the new thirster kit, followed by this release, we're going to see similar versions for each of the other gods... that would also coincide with the "cult codex" rumours from a while ago as well...

Yea, getting the other less popular gods is likely dependant on how this release does. And let's face it, it's still a Chaos dex, so I'll still pick it up.

I’m hoping said legion rules are in the new codex that’s…Oh yeah, NOT in the rumor list. Oh GW, when will you bring out the chaos stuff people are asking for?

GW seems to treat Chaos like their red headed step child so I doubt you'll see GW give them any real love unlike normal Space Marines.

Imperial Armor 13 - War Machines of the Lost and the Damned, Be'lakor, crimson slaughter, cypher, battle brothers with a very strong chaos daemons codex, and some stellar choices in the base book disagree with this ongoing fallacy that CSM doesn't get good stuff.
for all those who played against Tommy's chaos lords or Tom's chaos titan last tourney - poor choices? Read anything in the lost and the damned book. Are we still pretending helldrakes are bad because they can't flame in a 360 arc (but can now flame FMC's?)
can't really point to there being dud choices in the chaos dex either - when's the last time you saw centurion assault squads, stalkers, hunters, whirlwinds, predators, shooty terminators (outside of DA), legion of the damned, razorbacks, scout bikers, assault marines, chaplains, or approximately 50% of the special characters in the space marine book?

But red headed step children are hot. It's only ever the parents who don't get that...

Eh, Marines have a pile more options than CSM, so by default more of them will be seen less. IA13 brought some good options to CSM but that's FW and out of reach of the average player. How often do you see mutilators, forgefiends, bikes (that aren't nurgle but even then put your lord in a unit of spawn for 1/4 the cost), raptors, predators, terminators, dark apostles, and almost all of the special characters (funny how we basically list the same units). The list is short, but it's definitely a higher % of the dex is weaksauce, but for the most part, without any legion flavour. To play a chapter you pick the good stuff in the book and pain a certain colour. To play a legion you have to take bad units sometimes to get the point across.

I never said CSM were weak, I said I want Legion rules.

I never said CSM were weak, I said I want Legion rules. my response was to the red headed step child thing which is a recurring theme... I agree with you, legion books will be awesome

Ah, yeah. I have always thought CSM were fine ultimately- just in their specific build or two.

Honestly, all I want in my CSM is more flavour. My disappointment in the CSM dex stems from the difficulty in distinguishing any CSM army from another just based on unit choices. Most of the "flavour choices" Warp Talons, Dark Apostles etc, are the weaker choices that punishes you for being fluffy, whereas you can get your SM flavour from Chapter Tactics. If they did something similar for legions, I think I would be totally satisfied.
