from Faeit: "Its all out in the open now, this week we are seeing two scenery pieces, the Plasma Obliterator, and the Promethium Pipes. Of course there is also the Onager Dunecrawler this week, and the pricing for them all are revealed. My dear 4-flamer Havoc squad loves this idea.

ork burna boyz too...
three squads worth would likely be able to hide comfortably behind the pipes (given all the sections) for a 4+ cover, and a pretty nasty threat to anything coming remotely close

The only problem I can see with them is that they’re like a tracer round; they work both ways. Imagine a tau suit squad does their JSJ, lol. That’d be the ultimate pisser, have another army use your fortification against you. Like a unit of terminators that gets thundered up to your lines, uses combi-flamers to cook any adjacent squads (ala, placing your flamer templates to hit 1-2 models in the unit you plan on charging while putting the majority of your tear drop on another unit) then assaulting in. Eww…
I can see Obliterators doing well behind one of these for certain. What’s everyone’s thoughts on the Plasma monstrosity? It looks really overpriced for what it does but maybe I’m missing something.

I'm thinking the plasma thing does look a tad pricey, but that 7" blast is a scary thing - it will obviously suffer against multi-wound models or things in cover, but it's really gross against anything that finds its way in to the open. A blog Shannon posted was talking about using it with the new Daemonkin book, having naked BS7 Herald manning it - would make a great fire support piece for an army without much in the way of shooting.

Could you have 6 with them all being within 2" of it. Not sure how big this terrain piece is. But a transport is a good idea as its models not units so you could have more torrents
