Wow, those weapons are hateful. Put your seneschal into one armed with the Avenger and enjoy 12 shots hitting on 2’s.

I just... don't know what to even do to try to fight this. Skyfire/interceptor options for pure knight armies with obsec?

however, pure knight armies are not impossible to fight. We've seen that time and time again. Is it a tough list? yes. and the new formations make it even more so, although NONE I have seen are even close to Adlance. That Baron's formation seems like "the new adlance" but adding +1 to invuls is a BIG difference to rerolling them! I think before we react to this one, we should consider that at least with knights: - exactly the same things that killed them before kill them now - Adlance from what we've seen is gone - the most abusive lists with knights are knights + certain allies which is the real problem at all big tournies as well, full knight armies have never won a major tourney as far as I know. Knights + Eldar however completely stomped all over our local event without taking a scratch. I think knights+allies are a problem for mid-level players (I'm including myself here in that locally we are not hitting the top ten at big GT's around the globe or anything!) so for our local scene knights+allies I think is FAR more abusive than a pure knight army. I'm thinking of a solution..... honest

The exact same things that killed them before kill them now yes, but a number of the other tactics, like Anti-Vehicle flyers and MSU ObSec stuff has lost a lot of it's abilities. In the average 6 objective game, imagine playing a Knight army that is on 5 of them by turn 2 or 3, shooting away the stuff that can hurt them, and not giving you the ability to steal them away with things like Land Speeder Storms or Venoms. Giving the big guys ObSec takes away the last little bit of utility that the vast majority of Troop choices in the game have against them. I know it's not always so cut and dry, but it makes things a TON easier for Knight Armies to the point that they would almost feel point-and-click against a lot of foes.

The big things that Knights struggled against were deep-striking melta / grav and flyers that could slowly eat away at them. With interceptor weapons to help force the flyers to jink that at least takes one of the possibilities off the table. The issue is the things that punish Knights are amazing against them but not necessarily that great against the other armies you'll run into regularly, namely Demons and White Scars. What do meltaguns really do against a bike army or most of the Demon type aside from Maulerfiends and Soulgrinders? So we run into this issue of them forcing a non game in some cases- where before you could build a balanced force to keep them in mind with hoping you can rely on your flyers to help push through the required damage on them.
Ad-lance plus ally was the biggest issue prior, but that was specifically because you allied things in to help with flyers and Obsec. The knights won't require these things anymore and can just focus on making specific games non-issues, for example heavy venom Dark Eldar lists.
It brings me to the point of wanting to run double D flamer wraithguard webway units specifically to feel like I can handle everything, and that isn't the kind of mindset I really want to see myself in.
Edit : I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed in tournaments as a pure army at this point in time until I see them on the table, but I'm just overall speaking aloud my thoughts on possibilities in the horizon.
