In light of the wretched lackies of the corpse god emperor getting a new book, if you absolutely MUST change your lists in a feeble attempt to stop your Xenos overlords from wiping you out of the star system, feel free. I'm completely unbiased of course - but in all seriousness, you're getting a new book halfway through the campaign, so you are allowed to change your list... only fair!

Primary Objective for week two. To get full 4 points all enemy units need to be purged?

no, it's kill points so as usual, the one with the most kill points achieves primary

So looking through the first couple weeks of the campaign, despite the nearly even initial army spread, we have the following two weeks in:
Xenos: 6 players : Shannon, Jordan, Alissa, Justin M, Daniel, Chris Chaos: 5 players : Matt Mullen, Matt Morton, Justin C, Jesse, Garrett (and only three chaos players reported week two!) Imperium: 4 players: Guy, Connor, Tom, Sean,
So I'm wondering what would be the best solution to try and even things out a bit. Given I'm the organizer, I don't mind switching to even things out for the campaign. I can do either Chaos or Imperium as I have plenty of both. Or we can see if week three sees a return of some of our chaos players, or if another faction needs a bit of shoring up, or I can just leave things as they are and see how things play out...
thoughts?

Could just do final results based on team W/L ratio or average point spread instead of flat win rate to remove # of players as a factor. Or some sort of funky attack/defend team missions where a chaos and an imperium player play against two xenos players. Or just continue on and reflect the lower chaos presence as us being beaten back due to inferior numbers despite some battles won
edit: For example, in W:L week 1 imperium wins with 5, then xenos at 1.75 then chaos at 0.8. Week 2 xenos wins at 2, then chaos at 1.5 then imperium at 0.8. Definitely a better measure than flat win rate, since w1 imperium went 5-1 which implies they're doing better than 7-4 xenos, but thats not reflected. I personally prefer victory point spread because it encourages people to play out games and closing the gap rather than forfeiting games if they can't win but it can lead to weird priorities in-game.

I think that honestly one of the big factors is that the Xenos armies are generally the strongest right now and that many of our best players are playing them. There's not really much to be done for that at the moment. I know I obviously didn't get my games in this week and I can see that becoming a bit of an issue...I'm trying my best to make sure I have the time to get in games, but when I can play it tends to be Fridays and that seems to lead to me playing against other Chaos players...

This past friday was a good spread for me at least, 2 eldar and an orc to pick from as far as opponents went.

I do like the idea of win percentage being a thing... so if people can't make it, or teams are uneven then it all evens out.
----------
okay just updated the reporting thread with the win percentages...
Imperials actually won week one
And
...a full on stalemate week two where EACH faction got a 50% win rate!!!!

Week Five mission is now posted... last mission of the campaign... will the Imperials free the system in the name of the Emperor? Will Chaos finally push the hated Imperium from the system they spent so much time invading and warping to the dark gods? Will the Xenos decide all this Emperor family in-fighting is just too awkward and leave the system alone?
I guess we'll find out by reporting deadline Sunday!!!!
Remember - July 4th is the IRON MAN!!!! it's been eight years since we ran such a tourney... it will be AWESOME!!!!

Epilogue...
As the Ork Warboss sat having tea in the bloody fields of battle with his new Necron friend, it occurred to him that they had never fought on the same side before. Nevertheless, they were now at least allies of convenience for the time being, and although his yellow friend seemed slightly unhinged, it appeared to be in a very good orky way. In fact his new Waaagh brother seemed completely uninterested in even keeping this system and was giving it all to the orks, which completely solved the need to turn on him and stomp him flat once the imperials and chaos were beaten. The crons were leaving the system altogether and going somewhere else, which was probably for the best.
As the yellow ships departed the sector however, the warboss noted many of the machine-men had been left behind, picking through the countless bodies on the fields of battle and tearing off skin to wear as some kind of trophy.
"strange" the warboss thought "and why is 'ere so many of the buggers? Dare wernt dat many a minute ago?"
