Hey everybody, it's been a while since I've been on here, moving and life damn you! But, I find myself faced with a hard question. I'm currently in the process of construction a 1:1 scale suit of terminator armor for Games Day 2012 and I find myself going back and forth on what to arm myself with. There's so many good options, I'm at a standstill right now trying to figure out which would be the best armament, do I go classically armed, or go for something random, like a stolen Guardian Spear that is now infested with the raw stuff of chaos?
Comments, concerns are always welcome, I'll be going as a Thousand Son Sorcerer in Terminator armor.
Yes it's ambitious, and yes, as the build progresses I will post pictures of the armor.

Plz do WIP pictures! and I voted demon weapon as that can be anything really but I think it'd be cool a flail or a halberd

Just remember to keep all weapons "crowd friendly". If anything is too unwieldy you might end up injuring an innocent bystander ;D

Indeed Agrippa, last thing I'd need is to impale some poor fanboy, might damage my street cred a bit.
On a plus side, whatever weapon I do make will be cast and available as a kit in Smooth-Cast 322 or maybe Smooth-Cast 385, both are a bit harder than the normal plastic I use for castings but the added durability will come in handy I feel.

I voted for power fist and bolt pistol... pretty iconic imagery and no chance of impaling!
(plus that fist could be done up pretty cool)

I had considered making the powerfist my force weapon, who says it can't be both? And you're right Jack, having strange runes, faces, and maybe some weird lighted ampules would look good too...

That sounds pretty cool right there.

How about a revolver in one hand and a stuffed rabbit in the other. Than you can say "Nobody move or the bunny gets it!" Just a thought. Or maybe substitute a representation of the emperor for the rabbit - you are going to be a chaos terminator aren't you?

I am, however another fried of mine is going as a Space Wolf (not sure what type but in power armor not terminator) and a third friend is going as a Harlequin of some kind so the interplay with myself you suggested will be replaced with an interplay between the wolf and I as my buddy Tim is in the screen writer's guild and is working us a script as we speak.

Chain fist is a good one, although Demon weapon/ force weapon the more I think of it makes the most sense, after all, since I'll be in Tzeentch terminator armor I'll have at least some shred of psychic powers.
Plus, the weathering to be painted on the armor won't be down do bare ceramite, there will be a second layer of paint showing through...can anyone say, red armor...white trim...with a scarab in place of the orb in the symbol of Tzeentch.
Oh Yes! I got some more inspiration for adornment today, I'll be basing the character and armor off of one of the original Thousand Sons from the days of the great crusade and the chips and wear marks on my armor will make people look twice at it for certain.
also, building upon my earlier post, I did some sketches for the "Power Fist Force Weapon" and I have to say, conceptually, it looks pretty good, but who's to say the bolt pistol couldn't be a smaller version of a Deathscreamer thus fulfilling both the force weapon and demon weapon popularity... Damn, there's almost too many choices...

Update: Work has begun on the 3D model of the bolt pistol. I'll post some renders when it's finished so everyone can take a peek before it goes to the machine shop for a CNC 5 axis VMC treatment.
