So i was playing some dawn of war 2, beating chaos rising since i never did to get ready for the new expantion coming out in march, and thought well hey ill jump on to army builder and build the army i usually play.
So i had a couple questions:
First with the death company their dreadnaughts are in the troop catagory on army builder are they really troops? could i take like 10 or 15 death company and get 2 or three of the dreads as troop choises?
what are some good weapons i dont play space marines so i dont know whats good, for the captain i was thinking termy armour with the storm shield and thunder hammer. maybe put him with some termies with chain fists.
are the death company better then the normal space troops? is that why you can only have one unit of them?
probably more to come later as i play with the list lol

With Blood Angels, you can take 1 Death Company Dread for every 5 Death Company you take (if I remember right...don't have the book in front of me). So if you take a full DC squad you could take 5 DC Dreads as well.
The only problem with DC units is that they never count as scoring units. So by taking all DC units you leave your army with no units that can hold objectives.

It's part of the Death Company special rules. The DC guys don't count as scoring, and the Dreads are vehicles so can't count as scoring.
If you go solid DC then you're basically looking to wipe your opponent out if you want anything more than a draw

Landraiders & Redeemers both hold less models than the Crusader.
LR has TL Lascannon sponsons + Hvy Bolter LRR has Infernocannon sponsons + AssCan LRC has Hurricanbolter sponsons + AssCan

Blood Ravens are technically a Codex Space Marine chapter as opposed to a branch off of the Blood Angels so normally they use the Space Marine Codex instead of the Blood Angels one. Just a fluff fact

Blood Ravens are technically a Codex Space Marine chapter as opposed to a branch off of the Blood Angels so normally they use the Space Marine Codex instead of the Blood Angels one. Just a fluff fact I remember someone telling me that they're not founded from the Blood Angels at all. He suspected, due to their high amount of Librarians, that they were founded from untainted Pre-Heresy Thousand Sons Geneseed. I thought the theory was entertaining. I checked the Lexicanum on the Blood Ravens and it mentions an unknown founding with an unknown chapter's geneseed. Any efforts I've seen to build a Blood Raven army have also used the standard marine codex.
