Ok, in the book is says that a unit is made up of more then one model in a group all moving the same way and all that jazz. It also says a character can join a unit.
Now my question is can a unit join anouther units? It doesnt say no right out but maybe its an implyed rule. Im just wondering can my slann with temble guard join some sarus warriors to make a horde with the slann behind the temple guard?

I believe the book states that only characters have the option to join other units. Under the general rules, which apply to all units, it states what they are allowed to do during each phase of a turn, and no where does it say they are allowed to join other units. Though I'm not the best person to be quoting the book since I have only read it once but I'm sure our resident experts will confirm it.

Oddly, there is no direct mention of not combining units in the BRB any more (the old BRB did have something to this effect). However, the movement rules on pg 13 do state models are not allowed to leave their unit, thus preventing different units from combining. This is further expanded upon in the character section where they mention the main advantage of characters as being the ability to join units.
