Yep… and we thought there was an alpha strike problem already. Maybe there will be a counter to the re-rolling T1 charges with no overwatch.

Reroll T1 9" charges for 1/2 your army? Sounds decent to me. Not even. From what it says, it's before turn 1 starts, which means Strike from the Shadows still gives you your full move. I'd imagine it'll be 2CP per use, so it's in that nice middle line, of being cheap enough to use once, or twice, but prohibitive enough that you're not going to gamble your whole game on. Shrike on the other hand is just like Lemartes. Or Ragnar. Or any other character that gives rerolls to assaults, so nothing new there. That Warlord Trait is pretty amazing, but I mean, has Overwatch ever been anything other than a surprise when it actually does something? I mean, it's interesting, but for one, or two exceptions, it's nothing we don't already see.

Price confirmed as $50 USD. They're going to keep milking us like cattle guys and gals.

If we get all new fluff, they might be worth it, but if it's the same recycled stuff they've been using for the past 4 editions, it'll be a bit of a piss off

Well, Space Marines, Eldar and Death Guard are pretty well guaranteed to get some new stuff.
But honestly they could have made it a softback for 60% the price. I don’t understand the obsession with hardbacks especially when they specifically stated they’d be doing regular updates.

Ouch...
"The White Scars Stratagem, Born in the Saddle, allows White Scars bikers to advance, shoot, and charge, meaning that each biker has a potential threat range of 26″, and you’ll be able to hit your opponent hard before they’re even able to react."

I haven't bothered to do the math, but it seems like Salamanders' "reroll one failed hit roll and one failed wound roll" is much worse than Imperial Fists' "no cover bonus and reroll ALL failed wound rolls."

It will depend on what they are bringing.
Rerolling to wound will be great.
I think salamanders will do lots of small units with one awesome weapon. Like combat squads with melta and Las cannon.
Reroll to hit and to wound if need be for that good weapon.

I stand corrected.

They should have just gone with "bolter drill" again for the Fists. Definitely less situational than the building thing, and I'd say better than no cover, seeing as how it is more difficult to get cover now.
