that is one seriously ugly model.

what makes it so... unsightly... to me is the flat gold paint job, especially on some of the larger sections, such as where the main hull connects to the nacelles. The flat areas end up looking kinda lumpy and bulbous. Once some seriously creative types get their hands on this and get some sweet patterns/ freehand on it, I bet it will take on a whole new light.

That's true Lukas, there is a thing as too much undisturbed surface of a single color. With just some gold and ink wash it looks like an inbred version of the Hunter-Killer plane from terminator.
