www.warhammer-community.com/2017/10/16/the-grand-tournament-heat-1-the-roundup/Top spot goes to Lawrence from the Tabletop Tactics Youtube channel, running an ultramarine list with Guilliman and 6 assault cannon razorbacks, 6 tactical squads for some backfield lascannons and a stormraven. If you haven't checked out Tabletop Tactics, I recommend looking up some of their battle reports. Great quality and nice looking armies. Looking at the lineup, its pretty clear that codex armies have the field locked down at the moment. Not much deathguard, but I'll attribute that to a very new line of models.

I'm sure deathguard will be representing soon... they're too new to see table time at least to the level that the people going to these big events want to playtest their lists....
soon I bet Morty and company will be kicking ass and taking names too!
I agree though, codex vs. index is a pretty big power swing... lets hope these remaining books get shuffled out at a decent pace after the first 10 as well.

I still feel like that were not honest when they said they were switching to AoS index style books, that lasted 3 weeks??
I mean every one had a nice even footing at launch and now 3 monthes later we are back into have/ have not of codex.
I mean there seems to be less power inequality than 7th but thats not really that hard, as long as they roll out those codex fast enough and can stop the power creep we still might end up some where wonderful.

A bunch of strong guard stuff and then like a broodlord and genestealers to back them up seems good, If a little un cultish. |
