So Frank and I played a game last night with the house rule that your caster level doesn't add to the casting value... gotta say it really toned down the magic.... and Frank said had a similar effect in the game with Scott....
thinking that this might be a viable solution... (more playtesting of course is required)... but so far so good...

so planning to build Tomb King list and I want to know whats going on with magic is there house rule? last time was not number 6 spell? what is it now?

I've been playing no caps, no limits... seems to be working out okay.... just have to be prepared that sometimes (very rarely) you lose the game with one magic phase.... ...but really, I've lost games in one combat phase before....

I once lost a game to a terror check on turn 1. My big block of saurus with characters failed terror and ran off the board ;D

lol... still remember when Frank had my entire dwarf army running away all at once from one terror check.... that solid dwarf leadership!

It was worse in 5th or 6th when whole armies could break if the general died. I watched an entire Bret army book it on the top of turn one because a Great Cannon smoked the lord.
