2017 Miniature of the Year voting

Not sure what I want to put. I think maybe the lord of change model? It's such a huge improvement over the old one, and amazing in its own right. I think it strikes a very important balance between detailed and busy, one that I think some of the new Deathguard models cross.

What do you all think?

from that list I was torn between the Ironclad and the LOC kit. In the end I voted for the LOC kit for very similar reasons as you've said - amazing model that is such an improvement over the previous kit.

It's one of the models I've been actually intimidated to paint. I've had an assembled Fateweaver now for a few months and other than primer I haven't taken the plunge to get him done. Hoping with the tale of warlords this spring to actually tackle him properly!

Those primaris characters are super tasty too though. The Apothecary/Chaplain/librarian/plasma pistol powerfist captain are all sweet.

The model that struck me the most over the last year in it's originality and quality was actually the Avatar of Death, the Yncarne. So I voted for her. LOC was a close second though.

I had to give props to Daemon Mortarion. They did one hell of a job with the parts that make him to all but eliminate seams and gap filling. Technically speaking it's an amazing model and was fun to assemble.
