such a good article.. the risk calculation backwards trick is so useful...I use this constantly... I can't count how many times someone has cursed their dice during a game when the exact result was statistically average. (check out the comments at the bottom regarding a brilliant point Nick makes about those "this unit does .74 wounds" guys)

There's one thing I've learned about risk management, dice, and 40k.
The thing most likely to succeed. Won't. The thing least likely to fail. Will. So have a backup plan.
But by using the above technique, you'll at least know which of these things is which. =)
I really hope he writes an article on "Planning to succeed, playing to fail", it goes so closely in hand with the risk aspects of 40k dice math.
