So this is my first posting of an AoS list that I will actually use. Open to suggestions moving forward before my first game tomorrow evening. This is what I am looking at;
Leaders King on Hippogryph (General) Enchantress
Battleline 8 Knights of the Realm 8 Knights Errant 16 Knights of the Realm
Units 16 Peasant Bowmen 5 Grail Knights 3 Pegasus Knights
Things I would like advice on are what trait should I give my general and what Relics to give him and the Enchantress. Im also not 100% sure on the bowmen, have considered adding another 8 knights errant instead. Or some Questing Knights and just being at 1980 instead of 2000 on the nose. Or dumping the Leoncouer in favour of the Sacred Protector for half points. Just have to see i guess how much his buffs really matter for 1/5 of the cost of the whole army.
Also, i dont quite know how AoS works right now but using Brettonians in total war warhammer i did a kind of "hammer and anvil" using men at arms to tie things up then smashing them with knights. But i dont know, the men at arms just seem so bad...
Any advice welcome!

men at arms seem fairly terrible unless you run them in mobs. Remember too that AOS allows scoring of objectives in many missions by number of models in it (there is no objective secured rule in AOS) So they can serve a role in blobbing objectives cheaply, and if they have enough numbers, MIGHT be able to survive if you have other things handling the good stuff (ie: grail knights) vs. death or daemons, those grails are pretty nasty on the charge... pegusus knights seem pretty darn good on the charge as well.
peasant bowmen seem pretty "meh" on the turn they aren't arrowstorming (which really requires 20+ to do effectively as well) due to the 5+/4+... seems like a couple wounds here or there, but nothing too exciting. At least they can shoot into combat for another couple weeks (that rule is leaving AOS)
keep in mind, I've never actually played as brets in AOS and I think I've only played against them once... Matt plays them though, and I'm sure will have more relevant advice!

I agree with the bowmen but i cant justify 400 pts to get 32 of them. If you could add single models then sure but i just saw them as an objective holder that can fire 3x once per game. I know knights gwt better in big units too but they will want to be constantly charging, not objective sitting. I will bring both options tonight and be ready to swap them out

An alternative I am Considering is as follows:
Leaders Brettonian Lord on Pegasus (General) Enchantress Noble Standard Bearer Battleline 16 Knights Errant 16 Knights of the Realm 8 Knights of the Realm 3 Pegasus Knights 5 Grail Knights 5 Questing Knights
I lose the army wide "no battleshock" from louen and some other buffs as well as the archers but gain the standatd bearer to spread buffs out, 8 more kinghts errant and 5 questing knights who should have more staying power after charging.
Thoughts?

When I played brets I ran either battalions, like I told you. There's synergies that were removed last summer, with most of your damage coming from your heroes now instead of your knights.
A cavalry list doesnt field the Fey enchantress since she buffs up the to hit value of your knights who are already hitting on 2s on the charge. (louen)
Instead you want to field a peasant list with (hopefully) the battalion. You want a paladin on foot escorting a large unit of archers, and the Fey to buff them. Their arrow storm hits on 5s normally so hitting on 3s really increases your chances of destroying what you're targeting. Make sure to bring braziers for the rr to wound. This kind of list is a gun line with short range so bring the trebuchet to increase your threat to 48".
You ran the cavalry battalion on Thursday and like we discussed, lack of rend/mortal wound output is where you have problems. The foot paladin doing d6 mortal is ok, using your casters for arcane bolt is kind of a waste, so considering bringing a dwarf runesmith. One of their runes adds a point of rend, I just don't remember if it can affect other non-dwarf models. Artifacts, there's the obstinant blade I'd give to your mounted lord or your banner, and the relic blade to the other, since when you use the old warscroll for louen you can't give him artifacts (named character).
