So, after I have a chance to play a couple games with straight up Grey Knights, I'm probably going to start playing them the way I think they should be from a fluff perspective. This means inquisitors and henchmen with a couple grey knights, which means I need Cotaez(and I'll probably have cotaez do a count as, since he's a very puritan inquisitor).
Here is my first idea, any thoughts/suggestions?
coteaz 100
3 servitors with plasma cannons. 4 acolytes, 2 jokaero, 2 psychers, 1 mystic 176
3 jokaero, 2 psychers, 5 acolytes 145
3 jokaero, 2 psychers, 5 acolytes 145
3 jokaero, 2 psychers, 5 acolytes 145
3 jokaero, 2 psychers, 5 acolytes 145
(no force org chart) 12 warrior acolytes, 3 combi meltas, 3 melta bombs 93
10 grey knight strike squad, 2 psycannons, just w/ master hammer 235
10 grey knight interceptor squad, 2 psycannons, just w/ master hammer, psybolt ammo 315
total 1499
Cotaez deploys with the servitor squad and makes sure no one thinks about arriving from reserve.
The unit of 12 warriors is my 1st meat shield, which will run up and try to scare a land raider, or stay back infront of the other units to take the first charge, which is why they are not a troops squad.
Depending on who I face, the grey knights either start in reserve, or deploy on my side, acting as a counter charge unit with a large volumne of shooting.
So, I have 3 plasma cannons, 14 lascannons, and 5 s4 large blasts from the henchmen. The grey knights give me another 4 psycannons and a whole bucket of stormbolter shots, half at s5.
My 1st experiment will probably have me lose the strike squad for a techmarine and upgrading a couple units to 4 monkeys.
I realize I have no tanks, that is one of the main advantages I see in this list. Using their shunts, the interceptor squad can still do a very easy late game constest, and with the amount of models I have on the table, it will be difficult to take them all down, especially with all the acolyte ablative wounds.
