hmmm so max overkill of 5 total is gone eh?
So killing a tyrant in a challenge can be extremely brutal for those with multiple wound causing weapons... like +10 to combat res....!
yikes!

There is one FAQ that might factor into this result based on having killing blow (page 1 of the BRB FAQ for pg 52 change) as each KB counts as the number of wounds on the profile, not the current status as was previously the case. The maximum score allowed is the number of wounds required to kill the model + 5 in overkill. So, a fully healthy tyrant with 5 wounds is in a challenge and the maximum number of wounds, with overkill, that can be inflicted is 5+5=10. A bret lord with heroic KB then wounds the tyrant once and KB x 2. The total wounds caused are 1 + 2 x 5 = 11 but since there is a max of 5 overkill, counts 10 toward CR. If the tyrant had started the combat with only 1 wound, then the score would be +6 to combat res. Note that the overkill can also be applied to ridden monsters in a challenge so if the bret lord challenged a gobbo on an anaroch spider (sp?), max overkill remains at +5. Say the lord KB both the spider and rider twice each, then the total CR would be 8+3+5 overkill = 16. Alternatively, if there were KB x 2 on the spider, the wounds counted toward CR would be a mere 8 + 5 = 13 !!
