What is this? starting in January white dwarf they're going to have official updates... including new chapter specific traits/strategems etc. for successor chapters so yeah they want people buying white dwarf again. Luckily it's just those smelly crimson fists this month so I get to save my cash

What other official successor chapters are there? I know of the flesh tearers The TL;DR answer here is: A fuckton. But don't try and figure it out, you can't because GW doesn't really keep track either. Officially, there's something around 550 successor Chapters that have listed, canon information written about them in some form or another. That's just either GW or FW rules/characters/books/etc written about them in various amounts, some of which are a single line in a Chapter Approved somewhere that was like "and then the [Chapter Name] did a thing". There were also bunch of 'how to paint' books back in the day that showed tons of successor Chapters in their colours so people could play say, an Ultramarines army and not have to paint everything blue. Now, there's tons of conflicts about Foundings (for example the second, third, and fourth are detailed, but we jump to the thirteenth Founding after that) so that there's no real way to say how many there could be if GW wanted to keep making things. As another example, Dorn initiated the third founding, which the High Lords of Terra approved over a hundred writs of succession to the Chapters of the first and second founding. The Ultramarines were granted nine writs of succession alone, but only the Scythes of the Emperor have any canon info about them from that founding. There's successor Chapters with no listed parent Chapters, as well as Chapters that were created which the High Lords of Terra didn't have the original geneseed from which they were made from (such as the Exorcists who were founded from Grey Knight geneseed), so more shennigans abound. There's also a few headscratchers, such as the Emperor's Swords and the Emperor's Swords, being two different Chapters with the same name, existing at different times, both of which were destroyed. And lastly, Guilliman's Ultima Founding created entire new Chapters almost exclusively from Primaris Marines. There's 19 listed Chapters from that alone, which is on top of all the Primaris he sent out to reinforce existing Chapters. Read more here if you want.

So I've been looking at the CF chapter tactic more and more and I think there are a couple of fun combos here
Aggressors with Bolter Drill activated will destroy just about any horde if they stood still. A full squad of 6 will hit on 2's with 72 shots, exploding on 5's. Then they get the other 12D6 fragstorm shots, still hitting on 2's (no exploding). For a single CP, you can also re-roll VS Orks, which are pretty common nowadays. Even if they moved, it's still a crazy amount of shots.
Any squad that comes in 3-6 dudes will also be heavily favored, so Inceptors, bikers (especially scout bikers) and 5-man hellblaster units all will be pretty sweet.
Plus, you know, Pedro.
