10 pt bikes, and getting the old Orks " dust cloud" special rule for -1 to hit. they are going to sell SO many bikes. This is the first bike unit since eldar which feels like it is the right price for the model. Currently most bikes suffer from being the same cost at 3+ infantry models, which is just too much. I think 2x infantry is the sweet spot. Also in general the point cost for the cult looks like its much more realistic with cheap guys being 4-5 pts and some of the bigger units being 7. I guess only issue now is having to buy more models to fill in the army with much cheaper points. plus those quads are crazy cool looking.

As a gamer I don't have the time to play the armies I have (inc. GSC) and I shouldn't be laying out money. As a modeller, I really like some of the new stuff and I have been (very) slowly catching up my huge backlog at work. Modeller is eyeing my wallet.

Getting a 3 CP Agents of Vect is pretty awesome! That's gonna be a tough things to deal with.

to be practical though, there's only really a few strategems (ie: tide of traitors, fight/shoot twice strats) where you'd be stopping something worth burning 3 CP for... at least that's what Tim tells me from his DE experience.
the cult at least at first info seems to be pretty CP hungry to function...

I mean, I assume GW has already moved all the Abominant kits and are now looking to move those bikes, which is why they are 10 pts while Abominant are +25.

spent my morning with this... lots to digest (nom nom nom) www.youtube.com/watch?v=34wConvy5p0&feature=youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR1z8y1ROd__x7n5ccctvqHKROgh0UnQdS8Ny9ZcJzvqTD_ceZR5evMzfhEedit: just calculated my "savings" point wise on my list for the campaign... 87 points saved across the entire list... ummm... okay.... abominants and magus all went up... save ONE point on each abberrant... 3 on the leader... savings comes with acolytes... metamorphs are still worse acolytes for more points (as not troops). Conflicting reports on if purestrains benefit from cult tactics - if not, why pay 15 points for them when nid stealers are cheaper and get hive fleet bonuses like Kraken? strategems and relics look really good... bikers look terrible rules wise but I'm buying them anyways cuz the models are amazing (Geoff Robinson says they're "horrible" ... I think they're just okay) tactically the army has lots of cool options, and it's WAY too early to tell, but I think it's going to be abberrants and acolytes as the main focus of most lists, perhaps stealers if they can benefit from cult tactics, and support characters. jury's out if the abominant is worth the 25 point increase (it's 3 attacks only)... but the Patriarch seems like you can stack a LOT of good things on it. Plus the psychic phase is MUCH improved. I'll be using the "give a primus and magus an additional warlord trait if you have a Patriarch" strategem basically every game. Oh and Kellermorphs... super good.

Did they clarify that if you go 2nd you can have your whole army just be untargetable blips for them and avoid any forms for alpha strike? Then pop out and close the distance on your turn 1.
Cause if that's the case, that might be enough to meta break vs some armies that are so set on an alpha strike set up.

no, if you go second, the blips are revealed at the end of your opponent's movement phase. The opponent cannot move within 9" of a blip. So it doesn't save you from charges, or getting shot off the board with your T3 5+ save cultists.
Cannot put them out of the deployment zone... and even the strategem that lets you move some of them still states they cannot leave deployment. All blips must be revealed turn one. the "underground" option is just normal deep strike rules, although you have a three point strategem that lets you move D6 or shoot for one unit.
So unfortunately nothing protects you other than anything valuable or dangerous is likely going into deep strike and your blips are going to be chaff / garbage units for the most part... maybe genestealers, but if they cannot get cult traits then I cannot see paying for more expensive stealers with zero abilities.

I see the blips being popular as area denial with msu set up. Keeps your opponent at arms length, and you can choose what goes down at the end of their movement phase. They have a nasty unit set up to charge, drop flak. Will help for screening for sure. Especially with the strategem that lets you place fake blibs

Ok, so for what it's worth, I found the Canadian/American prices for the new Genestealer stuff. Pre-order starts the 9th, releases the 16th. i.imgur.com/2lO1plh.png
