Imgur link to leaked white dwarfRule is in the last image in the album. A nice buff to ALL bolter carrying Astartes and Heretic Astartes. Even vehicles, which get to fire all their shots all the time. Hurricane bolters are gonna be wild! Are LR Crusaders gonna be cool again? I wonder if this will get transferred to Sisters and Custodes?

Voodoo, your backfield Rubrics might actually do stuff now! 10 shots at 24" ap-2 isn't too shabby.

It's better than 5 shots that's for sure! It won't win any games, but it is nice to see the bolter getting a buff. This MIGHT, MIGHT make Scarab Occult Terminators worth taking.
189 Points for 5 bodies tossing out 20 shots (if all take the combi-bolter). They're cheap enough now to consider taking, especially with the smite buff and their increased durability over a regular termie if being hit with damage 1 weaponry.

Beta Rule - Bolter Discipline
All Adeptus Astartes and Heretic Astartes models gain this ability. Instead of following the normal rules for Rapid Fire weapons, Rapid fire bolt weapons used by models with this ability make double the number of attacks if any of the following apply:
• The firing model's target is within half the weapon's maximum range.
• The firing model remained stationary during its previous Movement phase.
• The firing model is a Terminator, ? Biker ?, Centurion or Vehicle.
So it does not only apply to the models listed. As long as the model is armed with the specified rapid-fire bolt weapon, and is one of the two astartes flavors, you're good to go.
The first point is what rapid fire always was.
The second allows you to stay still in the backline and shoot most bolt weapons twice. Rapid firing intercessors from 30" away? yes please.
The third just means that termies, bikers, centurions and vehicles ALWAYS rapid fire, even when moving and over half away.

man, a squad of 10 occult terminators shooting 40 shots at ap-2, vets of the long war for +1 to wound and cast prescience for hitting on 2s. Might dig these guys back out for a couple test games.

The only difference from right now is they now do this at 24" instead of 12". Same number of shots and such, but they can do it from afar. |

True, but the extra 12" on their bolters allows them "keep up" with the range of the sorcerer in the unit, maximizing their usefulness in multiple phases of the game without needing to move closer in order to do so. |

Well that just made the Mephrit dynasty a death-trap. Assuming normal movement for my infantry, that's two to three turns of marines rapid firing until I manage to get to half range.

Oh God. The 2 point increase on hurricane bolter on my ironclad seems discount.
My iron clad trundalling along being able to pump out 12 shots a turn at 24 inches is insane.
