FW Fridays - New Scars

Some amateur looking new models for the White Scars just came out of FW. I honestly don't feel like these were given much time at all, or the painting has hidden the details. They look pretty lacklustre when compared to the other Legion specific models of the same kind, the details aren't sharp; and they just look pasted on...

I feel like anyone that can do a decent conversion could replicate the "chapter specific" detailing on these with little to no effort. Sorry White Scars players, I feel as if ForgeWorld just did your legion a hearty disservice.

White Scars Cataphractii Praetor - WAY better than the contemptor, at least he's got some interesting parts to him, re: Power Dao, the eagle and some lamellar plating on his tabard.

WTF is happening to the FW studio painters? Is there just one guy left? Look at the highlights on the Paetor! Single colour for the edge highlights, blocky and inconsistent. Nothing like what we've seen from GW Prime.

In other news, it has now been confirmed that GW studio writers will now take over writing FW rules, so we're going to start seeing some consistency there some day. Maybe they'll take over painting too?
