Yup, I'm running these ones.
40k is 2000 points Fantasy is 2400 points.
I'm still considering the painting requirements for this one given the somewhat short notice on it. Suffice to say that fully painted will likely be required to win most of the awards other than best general, as you're throwing away a lot of points not having things finished.
WarmaHordes I'm unsure of, I THINK it is 35pts, and I don't think there is a painting restriction on it, though fully painted is urged.

The 40k Tourney will likely be Saturday if we get our confusion with Fantasy 'Ard Boyz sorted out. Cost is $15 for the tourney, plus your King-Con ticket (which I don't want to quote, but it's somewhere in the 8-12 dollar range I believe). Prizes will be huge though.
I believe I will drop the painting restriction to 75% to cover the unexpected increase in points cost, but as I said before, you'll want 100% painted to have a realistic shot at best overall in most cases.

Mike confirmed last night that due to the Ard Boyz second round, 40k is Saturday, Fantasy is Sunday...
Fantasy is 2400 points and 40k is 2000 points

Will the scoring rubic be posted before the event? Matt is working on the scoring as we speak. You can expect a fair spread of points across battle, painting, sports and comp with comp having slightly more than usual, possibly a series of checks (like Trenton) and then opponent scored comp as well. Mystical terrain will be limited (otherwise no one will ever finish a game!!). More to follow as Matt ponders the permutations and combinations ;D

Fantasy players - make sure you sign up at Nexus - not many signed up yet and we'd like a full house!

If using comp wouldn't it be better to have a judge/judges score comp for each army? Its still subjective, however, having players score their opponents army always seems to me to create problems. First the opponent may not know the others army that well to honestly make a reasonable judgement and second there may be a tendency to tank your opponents comp if they beat you badly (eg their list must have been too cheesy).
What do others think of comp and how it is used in tourneys?
