Thanks, I learned from the best, a wise man once told me "first you paint it, if you're happy with it you're done, if not, strip it and start again"

Depends if you're happy with tabletop quality or not Hard to get the focus right on this one, my first eye (normally I just paint skin and wash dark), it's kind of cheating since his right eye is blind hah, still, I'm glad I even managed to get this one done

Hahahaha, nah I don't have any tamiya clear red, although I have been looking into gore effects, maybe bloodsecrator number two will be a journey into 3D gore effects, need to determine what UHU glue is in canada might just be gorilla glue.

blood for the blood god (citadel) is a very good paint... use it for all my blood effects

Ah, I see, it lacks the ropey strands that UHU+tamiya offers but it does look very nice for a blade that's been bloodied and wiped clean, or just bloodied I think I will get a pot

yep, Duncan Rhodes as a youtube video on it's application... it looks really well as that "streaked across a blade" blood, and I've used it for sprayed blood as well (messy but fun)

Bloodsecrator has been drying, needs to dry a bit more. Hobby update: Built two spawn, 5 blood warriors and began to organize my transportation solution I've fallen back in love with the blood warriors, without a doubt these are my favourite models GW has made to date, they're brilliant, almost no mold lines, they fit together like a dream, I absolutely adore these guys. And these are just the starter kit guys! I need to snap a picture of the top bit of the toolbox, it's my favourite part!

I based the bases for 10 liberators, 6 retributors, 3 prosecutors, a lord relictor. Built 8 liberators, 2 prosecutors (need to magnetize the wings later)

Ok so, I've got the balewind vortex ready to magnetize, I've built the magewrack throne (gargoyles aren't secured yet, going to paint them separate), I've got a WHOLE lot of terrain stuff, four "tester" pots of house paint, I hoarded some foam (so it's not injected, so it's got little spheres, but that's not a big deal because), been using poly filler on a bunch of stuff--namely some base work (filling in holes from dark vengeance bases, texturing spawn bases as a test for daemons), got some more flock in yellow-green and light green to mix in with my medium green to get some variance. The throne needs another shot of spackle to get it nicely filled in and ready for priming. I've got a couple cans of black primer, and a can of grey primer. I've got a test liberator 80% done, started a test marine for my emperor's swords (emperor's spears but with sword iconography) The big thing I've started doing though is moving my citadel paints into dropper bottles. So far so good, had some trouble with my genestealer purple (it was flowing extra thick for some reason, chunky style, after thinning it ended up being more than 15 ml). My magnets should arrive any day. I'm trying a new priming method for my stormcast, I'll let you guys know how it turns out after I've primed them, it's kind of cute. Stormcast bases are sealed and ready to go, my first starter set of stormcast is assmebled (well the prosecutors need to be bashed up into shield wielding guys, so that'll be next week's goal, to have 9 prosecutors with shields and 3 "greatweapons" (hammer, sword and trident ) I might see if I can get a liberator to hold the great axe, in which case I'll run it as a counts-as liberator grandhammer, just to stretch this box out even further

you should have extra hammers from your paladins to make that grandhammer sounds like good progress for certain!

Nah I'm going to magnetize my paladins since I think it's likely I'll want to run all retributors sometimes, devastation brotherhood is good, but 16 retributors isn't bad

Bases done normally Retributor And, here's a method shot Extra thin popsicle sticks are superglued to one foot, then they wedge nicely into any ol' cardboard box (pending the size of your sticks). The box can easily be rotated to offer multiple angles, and you can lift a box, or even pivot it on one point, offering nearly any angle to prime every surface. This is the fastest I've been able to prime whole squads with perfect coverage, overall it's a huge success, much better than my old method of lying guys down on their back's, spraying them, waiting, flipping them, standing them up, spraying them. I found this much faster and offered me a lot of flexibility. On the upside you can paint them on the stick, dry them on the stick by placing them in the box, then pop them off and get them on your base
